with fine colour (and B/W) and sound of this 1974 M.G.M. feast for lovers of
the great M.G.M. musical movies and their stars. We see many clips from the
back catalogue of great movies from the late 1920’s to the 1950’s, we are
guided down memory lane by some of the stars themselves like Fred Astaire, Gene
Kelly and Judy Garland’s daughter Liza Minnelli, too many films to really list,
but “Singin’ in the Rain”, “The Wizard of Oz” etc. are all here! Super

complete serial from 1941 starring Tom Tyler as “Captain Marvel”, as a young
boy he is given the task to protect a magic talisman from being used for evil,

costume drama set in the French revolution, ‘Robespierre’ has lost his black
book which has a list of names marked for death by Guillotine, but if it got
into the wrong hands, things might turn out very different 18815
Bonnie Scotland B+ £180 (3x600’) One of the rarest Laurel
& Hardy comedy features, here presented F/L on B/W stock, it was made in
1935, Stan & Ollie make there way to Scotland thinking Stan was going to get
a big inheritance, which turns out to be an old set of Bagpipes and a snuff
box. The boys are tricked into enlisting in the British Army
and are sent to OLD

Check and Double Check B+ £90 (4x400’) OB Now here is a
film I doubt you will find anywhere else but on 8mm, it was made in 1930, and
is a spinoff of the popular radio program of the time “Amos ‘N’ Andy” about two
wisecracking Black men who get into all kinds of scrapes, which while fine on
the radio, in real life the actors portraying them (Freeman F. Godden &
Charles J. Correll) were in reality
white men, now this being 1930 they just wore Blackface like the old
minstrel shows, the story has the boys trying to start up a Taxi business,
where they get caught up in a society hassle involving driving musicians to a
swanky party. This was the only big screen appearance of the radio stars, it’s actually quite funny in places, once you get
over the shock how the leads are portrayed! 18642

a Texas Ranger who goes undercover to protect an Army Wagon train full of

Band Waggon B+ £140 (3x600’) Made during WW2 (1940) this
comedy stars Arthur (Big Hearted) Askey, Richard Murdoch and Jack Hylton and
His Boys, Arthur and Richard are evicted from the roof of Broadcasting House in
London and move to Droon Castle in Surrey where unexpectedly they find
television broadcasting equipment being used by Nazi spies, so what do they do,
well put on a show of course! This was a spin off from the popular wartime
radio show that ran on the BBC 19740

Blackhawk Films print of this classic 1933 Laurel & Hardy comedy, the Boys
tell their wives that Ollie needs a sea Cruise for his health when in reality
they want to attend a lodge convention, all goes well until the ship they were
supposed to be on sinks, the wives think they may be dead, but when a trip to
the movies they see Stan & Ollie having been filmed while at the
convention, I guess they wish they were really dead! 19787

father’s fortune with them, in the City Tillie gets drunk and thrown in Jail
& Charlie runs off with his old girlfriend, will it all end happily or will

actually a Derann re-print on colour stock, it has a very light blue tint, but
I quite liked it like that (this was originally my own print!), this is the
L&H classic set in the old west, made in 1937, the boys are travelling to
meet a deceased friends daughter to give her a deed to a valuable Gold Mine,
the trouble is, all they have is a name, and when the cunning owner of a bar
(the great James Finlayson) hears about it, skullduggery is afoot, he poses his
girlfriend as the girl, and unfortunately when they do find out the deception,
the deed is whisked into a Safe, can the boys get it back to give to the right
girl, well you guess (if you have never seen it before) 19386

wives miss the last train and go home, lets say they are not happy, shotguns

crazy as many years earlier she was jilted by another Oliver, and says that the
