This feature length documentary covers every post-war saloon model produced by Standard-Triumph wearing the Triumph badge. The Standard Vanguard is also covered in some detail as this is the most relevant Standard model to the Triumph story. We also see some stunning pre-war Triumph cars as well as the post-war Triumph Roadster before we move onto the first of the saloon models - the razor edged cars known as Renown (aka Town & Country Saloon) and the Mayflower.

The Standard Vanguard was the first model to receive the famous 'wet-liner' engine that went on to power the TR2 and the Ferguson Tractor produced by Standard-Triumph at their Banner Lane plant.

We then move on to the origin of the Triumph Herald, the Vitesse, the Zebu prototypes (which lead to the Triumph 2000/2500/2.5PI range), the 1300FWD, the Dolomite and Toledo series before concluding with the Acclaim and a look at what might have been with the SD2 prototype. The story unfolds throughout with the help of some of the men who were there at the time. Motoring historian and former Triumph Competitions Secretary, Graham Robson, acts as our anchor along with narration by Nigel Thom.

Also included are the race and rally cars including the 1300FWD that was turned into a four-wheel drive car and proved to be unbeatable in rallycross. Plus an extensive look at the most famous rally of all time - the World Cup rally - in which the 2.5PI's finished second and fourth in the hands of Brian Culcheth and Paddy Hopkirk respectively.  Both drivers are on hand to give us a unique insight into this historic event.  Brain nearly won and probably should have done but for some dubious things that happened outside of the British Leyland team.

Disc 2 has a pair of 30 minute 'World of Triumphs' features taking a close-up look at many individually owned Standard-Triumph cars from around the world. We interview the owners to get personal perspectives of owning and driving these historic vehicles on the roads of today. Plus we take a visit to the biggest Triumph parts supplier in the world - Rimmer Bros. Bill and Graham Rimmer tell us the story on how their hobby and enthusiasm for Triumph cars helped take their fledgling business to the top during the 1980s. And we take a tour of the extensive warehousing and distribution operation with Sales & Marketing Manager, Andrew Mundy.

'The Men Behind The Motors' this time features Ray Bates, Standard-Triumph Technical Engineer, who tells us some memorable and amusing stories from the days when Triumph cars were the envy of the motor industry throughout the world. 'Preview Time' brings disc 2 to a close.

With a main feature running over 90 minutes and a host of sparkling Triumph extras on disc 2 - which runs for approximately two hours - you can be sure this double disc release is something rather special for Triumph aficionados to keep and enjoy forever.
