MASTER & COMMANDER: THE FAR SIDE OF THE WORLD

Derann have imported Super 8 copies of this multi-Oscar nominated film. Prints are in the Super 8 'Scope format of 2.66:1 and come with stereo sound. As can be seen from the image below, a rather nice colour label is included.

We have viewed a general release copy of this film and can report that at first glance the print quality looks good. Sharp, with colour, brightness and contrast matching the look of the cinematic release well. The stereo sound is also exceptionally good. We showed a test reel at the 49th BFCC (a mute test reel run in sync' with digital sound from DVD) and this was received very well indeed. One viewer even wrote to say it was the best 'Scope image he had yet seen on Super 8.
